Burt Reynolds - Long time leader of famous toupee wearers

Burt Reynolds was one of the biggest movie stars there was back in the late 1970's with big hits like all of the dreadful "Smokey and the Bandit" movies and better ones like "The Longest Yard." Burt has appeared in more recent movies like a remake of "The Longest Yard" with Adam Sandler and some other second tier type roles. Burt also made big headlines with his  personal relationships with actresses like Sally Field and later the buxom Lonnie Anderson. Burt and Lonnie eventual divorce got really nasty and was on the cover of all the tabloids at that time. Anyway, there are all kinds of pictures of a younger Burt Reynolds on the internet. You can see that he's had a lot of different toupees throughout the years. He had an image to keep up and back in the late 70's I really don't think the concept of shaving your head clean if you are going bald had really become the preferred thing to do for many men. The hair and mustaches were all a part of Burt's image. It would have been very interesting to see what would have happened to his career had he decided to go with the bald look. A younger and bald Burt would be hard to imagine.
